Calculate your window
Sunset changes by more than two hours across the year in Las Vegas. The planner uses the High Roller’s coordinates and formats the result in America/Los_Angeles time.
Photography is about timing, not guarantees. This planner estimates sunset and civil twilight in Las Vegas local time, then suggests a target rotation for the lighting you prefer. One rotation takes about 30 minutes. Your chosen ticket must permit entry at your planned arrival time.
Your planning estimate
Astronomical estimate in America/Los_Angeles, with daylight saving time. Times are rounded to five minutes. A suggested rotation is not a boarding reservation. Weather, queues, ticket terms and opening hours need separate checks.
How to read the result
The suggested arrival time includes a practical buffer before your target ride window.
Sunset

Ride window
For sunset, the window spans changing light during a 30-minute rotation.
Arrival
Allows additional time for security, queueing and boarding.
The linked GetYourGuide Anytime option permits entry noon until closing, while its Daytime option permits noon–5 PM. The planner uses these product windows; a ticket from another seller may have different rules. It cannot reserve a place in a queue or confirm opening hours.
On winter dates, sunset can occur before 5 PM. The planner still recommends Anytime for a sunset-first plan unless lower-cost daytime access is your priority.
The night recommendation uses the end of civil twilight and adds a short buffer to target stronger city-light conditions.
GetYourGuide’s regular-ticket notice, checked November 3, reports no entry on these dates. The planner still calculates sunset but withholds the ride window, arrival recommendation and booking button. Read the notice and source →

Sources & scope
Sunset and civil dusk are astronomical estimates calculated at 36.1176° N, 115.1680° W and displayed in America/Los_Angeles, including daylight-saving time. Results are rounded to five minutes. Solar estimates were compared with U.S. Naval Observatory calculations for seven sample dates, including the March and November 2027 DST changes and February 29, 2028; the unrounded differences were within three minutes. Arrival buffers are suggestions, not queue forecasts.
Regular-ticket rules, Ticketmaster experience information and the seller’s November restriction checked November 4, 2026. Selected-date price and calendar snapshots retain their original November 3 check date. A complete venue timetable was not independently confirmed. Original visit and media date: August 28, 2026.
Golden-hour skyline targets boarding 45 minutes before astronomical sunset; sunset transition targets 15 minutes before; blue-hour lights targets five minutes after. Night and Sphere lights target at least 15 minutes after civil dusk. More daylight or more lights shifts the target by five minutes; night goals never start earlier than civil dusk plus 15 minutes.
These are planning heuristics. Blue hour is not an exact guaranteed color interval, and this tool does not forecast Sphere’s display content or schedule. Choose a 45, 60 or 75 minute arrival buffer; it is your planning allowance, not a live queue estimate.
Calendar exports use America/Los_Angeles, including daylight-saving rules, and are marked tentative. Read the Sphere photo guide before making it your only photo goal.
